Resource Idle (browser version): what is stored
In your browser
Your game and your two save slots are kept in this browser's storage, so the game opens instantly and works offline.
On the server
- One cookie called
rid. It holds a long random code and nothing else. It is how the game recognises this browser again. It is not used for tracking or advertising. - Your game saves (the current game and the two slots), stored next to a fingerprint of that code. A save contains game numbers only: resources, level, upgrades, missions.
- No name, email address or account. There are no ads and no third-party analytics.
Like any web server, the server and its hosting provider can see the IP address a request comes from while handling it. The game server keeps no log of visitors.
Visitor counter
The game shows how many people are on the page right now and how many page views there were. To count a connection only once every 6 hours, the server keeps a scrambled form of its public IP address in memory for up to 6 hours. This is never written to disk and is gone whenever the server restarts. What is saved is only a number of page views per hour and one running total of page loads (refreshes included), with nothing about who they were. Counts older than one year are deleted.
How long
Saves of players who have not opened the game for one year are deleted automatically.
Removing your data
Use MENU → RESET GAME to replace your saved game with a new one, and delete this site's cookies and site data in your browser to remove the code. Without the code the server copy can no longer be linked to you and is deleted after the year has passed.
